Finance Working Student (d/f/m)

Join us on our journey: to build Europe’s largest residential virtual power plant,  we are looking for a forward-thinking and driven working student in Finance. You will support our invoicing and billing processes at Flexa, drive process optimization, and support with business planning/budgeting.

• Location: Munich, Germany    

• Employment Type: Part-Time (20 hrs/ week)

• Salary Range: €18 per hour (gross) for Bachelor students; €21 per hour (gross) for Master students

• Working Mode: Office-based

• Language Requirement: C1 Level English and German

• Investor Reporting Support:
  Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Help consolidate financial statements, presentations and perform basic data analysis to support reporting requirements.

• Finance Management Support:
  Assist in organizing and maintaining financial documents and records. Support the team with preparation of financial documents.

• Fundraising support:
  Assist in the preparation and submission of grant applications by collaborating with the tech and finance teams to gather necessary documentation, ensure compliance with funding requirements, and review applications for accuracy and completeness.

• Process and administrative support:
  Assist with invoice processing and basic expense tracking. Provide general administrative support to the finance team, such as scheduling meetings and organizing files.

• Team Collaboration:
  Work closely with other team members to support the smooth functioning of the finance department.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program (minimum 4th semester) or a Master's program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

• Good organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities paired with a distinct entrepreneurial mindset

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Fluent in German and English

• Competency in Excel

• Previous experience in Finance departments

I’m Theo, the Strategic Finance Lead at Flexa. I’ve spent the last several years at the intersection of clean energy, strategy, and finance, and have long been fascinated by the potential of technologies like virtual power plants to reshape how we produce and consume energy. Joining Flexa felt like a natural next step.

Building Flexa is both a tremendous motivator and a significant responsibility for me. It’s an incredible opportunity to work on some of the most complex and critical challenges our society faces today. I bring a combination of strategic, financial, and operational experience: from strategy consulting at Bain, to finance work across venture capital and investment banking, to hands-on operations at start-ups, all of which I get to apply here alongside a team of exceptionally talented people.
